The "One in a Million" photograph taken by Mike Fidler of a Red Headed Gouldian finch drinking at a small waterhole near a place known as "Finch Pool" in the Kimberley District of western Australia. Mike, considered by many to be the foremost breeder of Gouldian finches in the world, captured this image on the 17th of August, 2002. The image graces the cover of his book "The Gouldian Finch" (co-authored with Stewart Evans), as well as serving as the logo for the Save the Gouldian Fund.
Through your purchase of this framed print, a $100 donation will be made to the Save the Gouldian Fund on your behalf. The Save the Gouldian Fund (based in Cooranbong, NSW, Australia) was co-founded by Mike Fidler and Marcus Pollard as a private funding body dedicated to assist in the preservation and restoration of the wild Gouldian finch in northern Australia. Your name (or a name of your choosing if a gift) will be added to the Save the Gouldian Fund website on the supporters page, where you will proudly join the ranks of other supporters of the Fund.
