NO MORE CLOGGED CROP TUBES!!!
We have tried virtually every hand rearing formula on the market, and while there are many good formulas available, most are too particulate in nature for the smaller diameter crop tubes used for hand feeding finches. This results in frequently clogged crop tubes during feeding. Roudybush Formula 3 is the smoothest hand feeding formula we have found. Formula 3 does not separate into a low calorie broth like so many formulas do when you thin them enough to pass through a crop tube for a finch. Formula 3 forms a creamy "crop milk" that can be mixed to desired consistency (from a thin milk to a thick pudding) while holding its form, delivering more of the food elements in the formula to the baby bird.
Formula 3 contains less Calcium and Vitamin D3, which addresses the concern many avian veterinarians have for elevated amounts of vitamins and minerals that may damage the kidneys of baby chicks. Formula 3 is especially useful in psittacine and granivorous species from hatching to weaning.
