Photographs of wild Lady Gouldian Finches
and other finches in Western Australia
The photographs below were taken in September of 2008 in the Wyndham area of Western Australia. Below you will see images of Gouldian Finches, Longtail Finches, Masked Finches, Star Finches, Double Bar Finches (Owl Finches), and Zebra Finches, as well as Chestnut Breasted Mannikins, Yellow Rumped Mannikins and Budgerigars. The Longtail Finch is part of a comparative study by the Save the Gouldian Fund, as it is the Gouldian's primary competitor for nest hollows, having similar nesting preferences.
